Frequently asked questions

Practical answers about your cash workflow.

Can I see the cash balance on a specific day?

Yes. The daily forecast shows the projected balance and cash items for the selected day. You can also see the lowest balance, its date and when cash crosses your chosen buffer. Forecasts depend on the dated cash and expectations you supply.

Can I test a late payment without changing the original forecast?

Yes. Use a separate Decision scenario to test an expected receipt or payment date. Your Base expectations and actual cash stay separate. Review the comparison before choosing an action.

How do I get my client data into Caldrix Cashflow?

Add cash items directly or import supported data files, including CSV and values-only XLSX. Review the import before committing it. Confirm opening cash and keep expected dates up to date; updates are not supplied by a live bank or accounting feed.

Can I manage several clients separately?

Yes. Each client has its own workspace, cash accounts, expectations, scenarios and reviews. Select the client before adding data or reviewing the forecast. Separate workspaces do not combine the clients into a consolidated forecast.

Can I share a cash review with a client?

Prepare and save a client review with its cash figures, assumptions and actions. Export CSV or XLSX, or use print/save PDF for a reviewed pack. Client login access and shared online collaboration are not part of this workflow.

Who is Caldrix Cashflow designed for?

Fractional CFOs managing cash for GBP service businesses, such as agencies and consultancies. It focuses on daily cash decisions and client reviews. Multi-currency groups and full three-way financial modelling need a different workflow.

What do I need for my first forecast?

Start with each cash account’s balance at the same date, then add expected receipts and payments with their expected dates. Enter the figures or import a supported file and review it before saving.

How far ahead can I forecast?

Choose Month, 13-week, Annual, 2-year or a custom range. Review the daily balances and the items behind a day. The forecast reflects the data and expected dates you maintain.

How do I avoid counting a receipt twice?

Actual receipts and outstanding expectations are separate. Allocate a receipt to its expected item to reduce what remains outstanding, without adding the bank receipt again.

Be ready for the next payroll

Find the cash shortfall before the next payroll.

See the lowest balance and the day it hits. Test payment timing before you commit.
